Nate Clark is a 5-year resident of West Hollywood. He and his partner Allen live in the heart of WeHo with their dog, Viola. Prior to moving to West Hollywood, Nate lived in Hollywood, and before that, New York.
Nate owns and operates a small design and production firm in WeHo. He specializes in identity design, film production and motion graphics. His clients include television networks, sporting events, and several of the world’s most iconic luxury brands. He is accustomed to project managing designs for complex events, and he will bring that skill-set to city council.
Nate is also a comedy writer and performer, and currently produces the Quick & Funny Musicals show at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in Hollywood. Nate can be heard regularly as the voice of promos for public radio station 89.9 KCRW, where he has volunteered for over 10 years. He is a 2014 member of the Fox Writers Intensive (a pipeline for diverse voices in television writing) and he hosts a regular political short series on his YouTube channel, which has over 5 Million views to date.
Nate holds a BFA degree from Florida State University. After college he worked steadily as both an actor and a designer before incorporating under Snazzy Company, LLC. He is a proud union member, currently belonging to AEA, SAG-AFTRA, and formerly SEUI. His “real world” job experience includes waiting tables, being a hotel bellman, and working the 3rd shift at a convenience store, among many other things. His parents are both public school educators, and his brother owns a bar in Florida. Nate volunteers regularly for a several charities, including a weekly volunteer shift at public radio station 89.9 KCRW. He’s completed more than 10 marathons and in 2009 he summited Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
Nate owns/operates a small design and production firm in WeHo. Working for a varied groups of clients has given Nate the tools to manage any kind of project, even under the most trying circumstances.
Nate has been a proud member of organized labor for his entire adult life, including AEA, SAG-AFTRA, and SEUI. Being both a union member and a business owner, he brings a unique perspective to employment issues.
As a performer and comedian, Nate is comfortable speaking to and interacting with all kinds of people.
Nate’s experience in film/television/video production has taught him how to effectively lead teams with successful results.
Nate believes in preserving and protecting our environment for future generations and our own general health. He supports WeHo’s environmental initiatives, and he is running a “green” campaign with minimal printed materials and no mailers.
Nate uses comedy – including his YouTube series – as a platform to promote community activism, political action, and to improve social awareness of the issues that impact us all.
Nate participated in the 2015 AIDS/LifeCycle ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles in support of the LA LGBT Center.
Nate volunteers weekly for SoCal public radio station KCRW, and has been doing so for over 10 years. He supports the efforts of Public Radio and its partners.
New York Cares
Before moving to West Hollywood, Nate volunteered regularly for the homeless in NYC with charities supported by New York Cares.
